Amberley Working Museum

Amberley Working Museum was one of the first of a BT distributed community of partner museums. The purpose-built display centre housing the telephone collection opened in May 2002 and is now a well-established attraction at Amberley.

The UAX 13

Amberley Exchange

A working UAX13 which supports the Museum's telephone system... Within the grounds of Amberley Museum, the Telephone Exchange is a working UAX13 complete with a rack of batteries, test rack & MDF with a full 50 lines of Strowger equipment. The exchange was originally installed in 1940 in Coolham.

The Southdown Bus Garage is just a small part of the transport history at Amberley Working Museum.

Amberely Bus Garage

The chalk pits and the railway are a dominant feature of Amberley Working Museum. Filming for the James Bond series 'A View to a Kill' took place on this site.
