I remember when I first started collecting telephones in the early 70s and I had several 300-type teles in strategic positions in the house, connected via a uniselector or two. Shared service lines were common and a phone was still a luxury-we weren't "On the Phone" and it was often difficult to explain to visitors when they asked, "Can I use your phone ?" that they were welcome to use it, but it wouldn't do them any good as we didn't have an 'outside line !' Sometimes they went away in disbelief... |

You don't have to be an ace photographer to contribute to these pages (but it does help). "Your best shot" will do as these pages are for THG members to indulge themselves. If you have professional photos, well they look good, but equally if you have a passable photo of a treasured phone and an interesting story, then mail it to us!
