Within the grounds of Amberley Museum, the Telephone Exchange is a
working UAX13 complete with a rack of batteries,
test rack & MDF with a full 50 lines
of Strowger equipment. The exchange was originally
installed in 1940 in Coolham.
The building is packed with telecom related
bits and pieces, even a Buzby carrier bag! In the centre of
this photo can be seen a test section including a
dial speed tester.
